Brussels Day 1-2: The Office
Saw this in Ezer's blog and thought I'd try it out. Man, I still have a long way to go! Only 13% of the world visited... This has got to be remedied ASAP! I am hoping to put some red on the Middle East and African portions of the map before the end of the year.Anyhowleehoo, I arrived in Brussels yesterday and am writing this post from the office before I kick-start my annual vacation leave. I wish Brussels were always like this -- with the sun out and shining and the weather a nice 14 degrees. What a big difference the weather makes in making the city much more livable and my mood much happier! I hope this keeps up for the next 2 weeks as I make my way through northern and north-eastern France.
I had a nice dinner yesterday at Premier Comptoir Noi, a Thai restaurant off Avenue Louise (can't miss the bright yellow signage).
Since I was feeling sick-ish, I didn't want to shock my system with non-rice food yet and Stéphane was kind enough to comply. Really can't beat the real thing we have in Asia though so I'm gearing up for all sorts of European food for the next 2 weeks. From the outside, there is no way to guess how nice it is inside.
Official vacation starts tomorrow -- woohoo!!!
