What I've Been Up To...
Yeah, I know I haven't written in a while. My personal and professional life has sort of been in an upheaval and writing in my blog has fallen so far down in the list of things to do. So many things have happened and it's funny that I can summarize what I've been up to in 2 weeks in a few short sentences...1. Dean & I went to Phuket last weekend for 4 days. He just suddenly decided the day before that he wanted to take a break and off we went. It's a good thing I have a boss who doesn't mind that I take 2 days' leave with an advance notice of 12 hours.
Phuket's beaches are nothing compared to Boracay but it does have a certain kind of charm. Food was fantastic and the sun was always out. They've re-built so fast, you can hardly tell a tsunami hit except in certain places. It would have been lovely to rent a scooter and explore the island, which is about 50x the size of Bora's coastline. We didn't, because Dean forgot his license and the resort was absolutely too amazing to leave. Plus, I started living in the spa.
2. I found out last week that Les will be moving assignments next month. My 2 best friends in the company are leaving me!!! In August, there will be too many new faces on the floor with Nani, Jefri, Trung, Harvs, Les, Jeremy, Gerry and John leaving -- it was 1 of the worst days of my life when I found out (since I found this all out on the same day). There's even talk my VP will move soon. I have half a mind to push for a transfer now too.
3. I discovered that Christian Bale is hoooooot. Drool.
4. Harvey spilled red wine on my dress... That's us at Chip's wedding. And there I am holding my stained dress, flanked by my 2 bosses. Doesn't Erwin, my literally big boss, look so cute??
